ABOUT ANOKHA

Founded at the University of Maryland in 2004, Anokha is the nation's premiere co-ed South Asian American Fusion collegiate A Cappella group. We are known for blending together music from different languages, primarily from different South Asian cultures and different Western cultures. In 2014, Anokha was invited to perform for the President and First Lady at The White house. In 2017, Anokha competed at the national competition, All American Awaaz. 

Anokha's passion for music drives us to combine seemingly disparate styles into something that everyone can enjoy regardless of language or background. Whether it’s Sa Re Ga or Do Re Mi, we strive to bridge cultural gaps and show the world how music can unite multiple cultures into something truly Anokha.
