The predicament
After 11 years of relentless war on the lands of Syria, more than 6 million Syrians have been displaced from their humble abodes with nowhere to go, struggling to survive in harsh outdoor conditions, and basic commodities are far out of reach. These refugees seek a safer future in neighboring countries such as Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt, but the trek to these countries is an arduous challenge in itself. And even then, there is no guarantee for success, as it is just as dangerous to return to their homeland.
Most importantly, the children refugees have a gloomy future ahead of them . A permanent residence, ample food and water, protection, medicine, and even education is but a dream for the refugees. The ongoing crisis will not be resolved unless peace and order have b een restored on the affected nations.
A promising future lies ahead
Many programs and activities have been raised to help the afflicted refugees. Among them are various fundraising programs that provide funds for the refugees to obtain access to basic commodities to keep them healthy and safe.
CurEthica has participated in this movement to provid e the refugees, especially the children population, a chance to look at the future with a bright smile on their face. The youth-led internship focuses on raising financial donations on an accredited online charity platform to assist the children in need.
