All over the world children are suffering and spending their days fighting for their lives. The are impoverished, malnourished, and have no means of healthcare. Their bellies often go empty, surviving off of one meal a day... if that. I have experienced first-hand the lives of children who are fighting to survive in a third world country. Although they have nothing to their name, and what to us would seem like a terribly miserable life; these children are constantly greatful to just be living. The children who are forced to live in these conditions are often the most spirited children I have ever met. These children don't deserve the life that they are being forced to live. I believe that we often take our lives for granted when there are people out there who have it way worse than we could ever imagine. That is why I want to make a difference. Even if it is just providing one child with one meal. That meal can make a difference in that child's life, and I know that I am providing something for someone that they don't have the opportunity or means to provide for themselves. I believe that I can change the culture of the world, one child at a time, one difference at a time.
