Greetings! I've had the privilege of seeing Save the Children's work in action -- from Afghanistan to Appalachia -- so I've witnessed the real impact of our programs. Having done that, I believe that a few moments of my own discomfort is a small price to pay in order to call attention to the trials of marginalized children and how much SC's work means to them. Please join me in my efforts to raise awareness of their needs and Save the Children's work to meet those needs by supporting this year's SC Polar Plunge!
And you don't even have to dive into the cold waters of LI Sound to do this -- I'll do it for you! The name of everyone who contributes to my plunge on Sunday, February 16th will be inscribed on me in indelible marker (appendage of your choice!) - this way you'll benefit from knowing you've helped, without getting that bone-numbing sensation that comes with a dip in the Sound in February!
Thanks, in advance, for your support!! And if you're near Fairfield, CT's Jennings Beach around 11 am on 2-16 (Sunday), bundle up, bring your coffee or hot chocolate, and come on out to provide some moral support and join in the fun!!!
