Vistamar Interact Club

The Vistamar Interact Club is a student-led group at Vistamar School dedicated to serving our local, national, and international communities. We regularly start and run various community service projects such as collecting books for donation, sponsoring families during the holidays, or fundrasing to buy sleeping bags for homeless youth. For our most recent project, we decided to fundraise for the Yemen Children's Relief Fund.

The current crisis in Yemen is considered by many newspapers and international aid groups to be the current worst humanitarian crisis in the world, yet it has recieved little attention within the American public. Upwards of 14 million people in the country are on the brink of famine, and 85,000 children are estimated to have already died of starvation. The UN recently, in late February of 2019, requested $4 billion from international donors to combat the famine.

We ask that you join us in attempting to diminish the severity of this issue and help the millions of Yemeni children in need. If you would like to learn more about the Yemeni humanitarian crisis, please follow the links attached below.

Sincerely,

The Vistamar Interact Club
