ABOUT OUR TEAM

The NPES Help the Ukrainian Children's page was founded by two 11 year old 5th Graders , Madeline Rejewski and Violet Carson. They attend North Pembroke Elementary School in Pembroke, Massachusetts. After watching the news, they were very saddened by the images they saw of the many Ukrainian children that are being severely impacted by the Russian invasion . They wanted to do anything they could to raise money for much needed medical supplies, clothes, food, transportation to safe shelter, , and other basic necessities. They approached their principal, Mrs. Swift and their teacher, Mrs. Grier, with the idea of starting a fundraiser. Thanks to their support, as well as they support of their entire school community, they have been working to raise funds by selling blue and yellow Ukraine bracelets and by accepting flat donations.
