I started training this year for the 2020 New York City marathon. This has consisted of doing 9 races and volunteering at 1. I was never a runner. I could barely run more than a mile without taking a walking break, let alone 26.2 miles. But, the community I found in running has been amazing. Getting cheered on by strangers, encouraged by runners next to you; this has given me a passion for running and I thought what better way to finish off the year than with challenging myself with the furthest distance ever of 19.3 miles total.
For nearly 100 years, Save the Children has done whatever it takes to create a world where no young child dies from a preventable cause, all children learn from a quality basic education, and violence against children is not tolerated. Where every child has the best chance for a bright future. I'm proud to make my miles matter for kids across the world. Please support my efforts by donating to my page today!
