Good Day,
My name is Jason Williams. I am embarking on the challenge of a lifetime in the form of my first “Ultra” marathon. From the start of the year I have been preparing for the Leadville 100 Trial Run held in Colorado, August 22, this year. The 100 mile race course averages 10,200 feet above sea level with temperatures fluctuating between 30 degrees F and 70 degrees F. I am currently training an average of 4 hours each day, 6 days a week to condition myself mentally and physically for the race with plans to increase training volume in the upcoming months. I am making my best effort to do all that I can to ready for this challenge in hopes of making myself, family, and country proud! But with this said I am still in need of your help. Through a partnership with the Save the Children Foundation I have managed to secure entry into the race with the commitment of raising $2350 by August 1.
I am so excited to have joined Team Save the Children for the 2021 Leadville Race Series! I am part of a team of athletes who will stop at nothing to help Save the Children get closer to their goal of reaching every last child.
For nearly 100 years, Save the Children has done whatever it takes to create a world where no young child dies from a preventable cause, all children learn from a quality basic education, and violence against children is not tolerated. Where every child has the best chance for a bright future. I'm proud to make my miles matter for kids across the world. Please support my efforts by donating to my page http://support.savethechildren.org/goto/Jason_runs_Leadville or in person today!
Thank you so much for your support!
