Yemen: Who Is Protecting The War Orphans?
Over the past three years, the world has turned its back on a growing crisis. According to the UN, the Yemeni War has caused the world’s worst humanitarian crisis and the children are bearing the brunt of the violence.
22 million people are in need of life-saving humanitarian assistance, including: food, water, shelter, fuel and sanitation.
According to UNICEF, a child dies in Yemen every 10 minutes – six children every hour.
Save The Children estimated at least 50,000 children died in 2017. More than half-a-million children are severely malnourished in Yemen, according to BBC news.
According to UNICEF estimates, there were 600,000 orphans under the age of 18 in 2014.
Data from the State-run Orphan Development Foundation, gives the number of orphans since March 2015, at 50,000.
I ask all supporters, to give generously to the cause of saving Yemini orphans, not only from death but also from a life of misery and mental illness. Now is the time to act – not later! Please give a thought to the suffering children of Yemen and be kind with your donations, so that they can have clean water and food. Your donations will go to Save The Children and be passed directly to soften the suffering of the orphans.
