My name is Bobbie, and I love to bake. As a stay-at-home mother of five, I find it is easy to be swept away in the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives. From school routines and drum class to our remodeling projects, my list is pretty much full all day, everyday. I am often preoccupied with the provisions God has graciously given me, like meal planning and laundry, and I find it is easy to forget that those menial tasks are privileges. I have a full sink of dishes because God has graciously provided food for our family, and has given me the ability to prepare it Our washing machine is overworked and exhausted because we have clothes to wear. Our house is loud and chaotic because God, in His infinite goodness, has given us children. I feel that it is important to correct my attitude from grumbling over the mess to thankfulness that I have a mess.
I find I am often so preoccupied seeing to the daily needs of my children, that I forget there are millions of children around this world who do not even have access to their daily needs, like food, clean water, and shelter.
This year, I decided to combine what I love to do, baking, with a cause I care deeply about; the welfare of children. For my local friends and family, I will be selling homemade cupcakes, full-size or mini, by the dozen, with the request that you donate what you'd pay for them towards this good cause. I respectfully request $25 per dozen for full size, and $12 a dozen for minis. That is what I request, in an effort to fundraise the highest amount possible for this charity. However, I only ask that you pay what you can afford or what you think is fair.
I offer a variety of specialty flavors: Coffee crunch (Oreo crust, chocolate cake, mocha buttercream), Cookies and Cream (Oreo crust, chocolate cake, filled and frosted with cookies and cream buttercream), Banana spice (roasted banana cake, topped with cookie butter buttercream, and chopped macadamia nuts), the Fall Favorite (fresh orange cake with cinnamon and cloves, topped with brown sugar maple buttercream and candied pecan crunch), and Lemon Sunshine (shortbread crust, fresh lemon cake, topped with vanilla Italian meringue buttercream.)
We also offer basic flavors: chocolate cake, vanilla cake, peanut butter cake, banana cake, and your choice of buttercream flavors: chocolate, vanilla, mocha, strawberry jam, peanut butter, and cookie butter.
If you live outside of my area, and I cannot deliver cupcakes to you, I humbly ask that you consider donating to this cause to help me reach my $2,000 goal. Yes, it's a lot of money, and i dont know that many people, but I'm going to try.
To place an order, simply text me with the quantity (by the dozen), the size (full size or mini), the flavor (listed above) and your contact information. Then, if you'd please, kindly donate the amount you wish to pay to help me reach my goal. I'll need 3 to 5 days to plan, shop, bake, and meet you to drop them off. To cut down the cost of overhead for me, I request that you bring your own container to transport your goodies home.
My hope is by January 1st, 2020, I will have raised $2,000 to give to this charity. Yes, it's a lot of cupcakes, but it's worth it!
Thank you for helping me.
Bobbie
