In Fall 2023, renowned architect Marina Tabassum served as the Norman R. Foster Visiting Professor of Architectural Design at the Yale School of Architecture (YSoA). Tabassum hails from Dhaka, Bangladesh and in 2024 was named to Time’s List of 100 Most Influential People. Titled “Architecture of Transition,” Tabassum’s course at YSoA focused on multipurpose disaster shelters in Bangladesh. Following an immersive class trip to Bangladesh, students were left with a desire to continue to improve the lives of Bangladeshis and Rohingya refugees.

Partnering with Save the Children, the Yale School of Architecture is raising money for people in need in Bangladesh.
